I have been drinking 5 cups of green tea a day for years. Not because of the health benefits just because I like green tea. So when this whole tea fad started I had to do some research. I found out that green tea actually has far less antioxidants than pomegranate, and about 1/10 the antioxidants as red currants. So, really on the scale it's not all that great. However, green tea also has caffeine in it which is a metabolism stimulator and also a slight laxative. Also recently I have been using green tea to curb cravings. Say if I want to eat something but I'm not really hungry, or if I want something sweet? a little tea with a little honey is perfect. It all depends on how you use it, but as a magic diet potion that will make the pounds melt off? definitely not. 3 years ago 1 person rated this as good Thanks..i thought so too!
